Day 2:Minecraft Week:Let's Do This!

Hey guys, Jordan here, so I came up with this idea called:Minecraft Week & I made a post about it on Planet Minecraft, this is it:Hi, I'm Jordan, a 12 year old app developer from Ireland who has been featured on tons of Irish newspapers, magazines, radios & I was on nationwide TV once.I am also a massive fan of Minecraft & Technology and I host a show about Technology on youtube. As most of you Minecraftys may know, Minecraft is coming out on Xbox May 11th, to celebrate this, I have come up with an idea, Minecraft Week.Because, we don't really have a week to celebrate Minecraft, besides Minecon, but that is an official event, I want to create one run by the community, I need a lot of help organising this & I think I have a plan on what to do:
  • Create A Website Hub
  • Everyone Makes videos talking about it
You get me, if anybody is interested please email me simplyentertainingji@gmail.com Spam Notchs Tweets here. My YouTube Here My Twitter Here One of my Technology websites here And so yeah, LETS DO THIS!

The New iPad Review

Hey guys, Jordan here, this weekend Mark & I made our confirmation, we both bought New iPads and we are going to give you our review today:
Retina:
Mark:It's better then any other mobile device
Jordan: I like it, compared to the iPad 2 it is brilliant, no longer fuzzy up close which is really good :D
Camera:
Mark:
Jordan: I really like the new camera, 8 megapixels for a tablet is really good!
I think Apple have done a really nice job with this, to make the camera and display better and keep the battery great. One bad thing I will point out about the new iPad is the download speed, apps take forever to install, but still good tablet!

Intel's first smartphone

Lenovo, Orange, Motorola and ZTE are also due to bring out Intel smartphones.
As expected, the first smartphone powered by an Intel processor launched this week: the Lava Xolo 900.
Intel and India-based Lava International today announced the general availability of the Xolo X900, built around the Intel Atom Z2460 processor. The phone will be available for purchase in the India market on April 23 at a street price of approximately 22,000 rupees, or about $420.
Lava also announced a partnership with Croma, a national Indian chain of megastores, which will sell the X900.
In addition to the 1.6GHz Atom processor with a 400MHz graphics chip clock, the phone features full 1080p HD video encoding, an 8-megapixel camera with burst mode, HSPA+ 3G connectivity, and a 4.03-inch LCD screen.
At launch, the X900 will run on Android Gingerbread, but an over-the-air software upgrade to Android's Ice Cream Sandwich is planned "shortly," the companies said.
Intel claims battery life of up to 5 hours with 3G browsing and 8 hours of talk time.
Smartphones running on Intel processors from Lenovo, Orange, Motorola, and ZTE are also due in the coming weeks and months. While the launch of Lenovo's K800 is soon -- it'll probably be the next Intel-based phone to become available -- all of the others are slated for later this summer or in the second half of the year.
Intel, the world's largest chipmaker, is trying to refocus its chip design and manufacturing efforts on smaller devices like smartphones and tablets, markets where it has been virtually absent.

"The Best Cloud Storage Service" Our Review

Hey guys, Jordan here, once again with Tech 4 U, today we are going to be taking a look at cloud storage services, the best of the best, and all the information that comes with them, this will be divided up in different parts, maybe weekly? Today I am going to talk about the top two: Dropbox & iCloud.
Lets start with iCloud:
iCloud is a service run by Apple (obviously) and it allows you to share files between your Mac, PC & iOS devices, seeing that it's run by Apple it is not compatible with Android & the PC version isn't as nice as the Mac version, this is the most used because, I mean, nearly everybody has an iOS device, well Android is the cheapest but still I would think Apple are more popular.I mean, that's just my take.Next we are definitely going to see something like this from Google, you might be like "Oh Jordan, you idiot Google already have a cloud service" (troll face).Yes, well you are right, Google Cloud Connect is by Google and does have the word cloud in it troll, but thats not for file sharing, well it technically is, but it is made for sharing Microsoft Office docs & creating them with other people, it's "Microsoft Office:Multiplayer", similar to Microsoft Skydrive, yet Skydrive is for file sharing also.Let's move on:
Dropbox is probably the most popular cloud storage service out there, coming with free storage also (most of these if you didn't already know cost money for space) it's currently what I use, it's also great for hosting websites.Dropbox is everywhere, Mac, PC, Linux,iOS & Android, it's great. To be honest I would have always thought that this would be something that Google would aquire.Like I mentioned Google are next & if Google buy Dropbox we know I said it :-).I actually heard about Dropbox from Machinima when I was on Realm,  so let's do a score:
iCloud: 7 1/2 (some limitatations) Dropbox 10/10 (the whole package)
So, what do you guys think, leave a comment-Jordan

Nicki Minaj Deletes Twitter, why?

Hey guys, Jordan here back with some news.Nicki Minaj has deleted her Twitter account, why? This is big news and is already Trending on Twitter, a lot of people have different opinions, here is some:

  • She deleted her twitter because she bullied a fan to delete theirs because they leaked her song...
  • doesn't care about her loyal fans obviously
This is what people are saying:
  • I really don't care that Nicki Minaj deleted her twitter, she was almost as annoying as Rihanna is so I'm actually kind of relieved
  • Nicki Minaj should delete her rap life as well
  • Nicki Minaj is a FREAK. She deleted her Twitter.
So, what do you guys think? Why did she bother? Does she hate her fans? Was she getting addicted? Was she trying to trend and get attention? Leave your thoughts in the comments below

Why did Facebook buy Instagram?

Hey guys, Jordan here back with another post, this post is about the big news that Facebook has bought Instagram, I mean thats ok, but the thing I can't believe is the price, $1,000,000,000 <--- :O.That is just soo weird, but yeah so Facebook, nice one! So, the first thing I want to talk about is the people who use Instagram, for those of you who don't know what Instagram is, It's a photo sharing network for Android & iOS and you can share your photos on Facebook & Twitter. But, the thing I don't understand is why Twitter didn't buy this first, I mean about 90% of Instagram users post to Twitter, not Facebook.I prefer to upload photos to the actual Facebook, not from Instagram. But, there are tons of Ways to post pictures on Twitter, Twitpic, The official way, yet most people use Instagram.I thought Facebook were just going to make it for Facebook, but I don't why Mark Zuckerburg bought Instagram for that price & yet is allowing them to put up their photos on Twitter aswell, because I don't know anyone who uploads via Facebook. So, yeah what do you guys think? I think it was a waste -Jordan

Jordan Has A Look at the Bamboo Pen!

Hey guys, Jordan here. So, today my aunt bought me a Bamboo Pen graphics tablet for my Confirmation (thanks shell so much :D) anyway, so now I'm going to review it.First of all lets start off with design:
The design is really nice, thin enough and small enough, but it does the job well, the price was £50 & thats a brilliant price for what it is capable of doing, I'm going to be using it for fun & for designing my graphics, but if your a pro game designer, this tablet is not for you, if you are a pro, you want to get a maybe a WACOM Intuos4, it's an A5 Graphics tablet & is a bit big on price, but really really good, I've actually used one in a shop before. If you buy Wacom also own the Bamboo franchise so your in good hands.I will make a video review once I get back home from England (I've been testing on my aunts Laptop) Also, another great think is what it contains, some great software! Some Bamboos come with:Photoshop Elements, Sketchbook Express & much more. This is a great buy & great price, I would recommend this to people who want this for fun or for small graphic design work, but for pros, you want an Intuos4.Anyway guys, thats all for now-Jordan
